So as you all know mages are known to have a 'weak' auto attack compared to other classes and to cover for this mages skill casting spells generally hit 'higher' than other classes (this is always debateable between classes) yet I seem to find I have no real base of knowing what I'll hit.
I always use lure and attune when hitting mobs and I've been farming recently on the same mobs and have noticed a lot of fluctuation in my hits... For example, sometimes I can hit anything as low as 1200 and up to 2900 damage as it stands with my gear and skill levels etc. yet I find that I don't really know what I'm going to be hitting on a mob?
Other classes being rouges, rangers and warriors with there auto attacks should have a general idea of what they're hitting wether it be around 300 or around 500 every hit consistently.
I was a h2h Mage up until level 100 (currently 120) and I've noticed this fluctuation in my hits now being a full focus fire spellcaster, and was wondering if it's just me? Does this happen at lower levels too me and if it happens also in the higher levels of mages?
Also do you find it fair that this happens as our spells are supposed to be compensation for our weak autos and terrible armour? I feel I should be hitting consistantly not to mention evades etc.
I've been testing this on the same mob over and over and I really do have no idea on what I hit averagely I just know what it's between. I have 1200/1200 fire magic ability also incase you were thinking that's the problem.
(This is not a complaint in anyway if I seem to come across as that just curious is all)
Thanks,
Pinkie
