Hello there! I have been feeling bad for the mages that always wanna group my Mage to train. And now I want I want to help them on leveling. So first off you can do the quests. If you already know what class in the Mage u wanna pick, use that. Those classes are Fire Mage Or Ice Mage. It should be easier to upgrade basically upgrade 1 or 5 skills till like level 5. So do the quests till level 20.
-Level 20 Through 40-
Ok so at level 20 you go to dustwither. Go to the first leystone and make your way to other leystone. Then go back to first and do the same till your level 25. Go to second ley and train at skeletons till level 30. This is where some people mess up. You don't have to go to shalemont. You can stay at dustwither till level 35 or 40.
For level 30 in dust u can go to second ley and go left go down to the first room attack the mobs on the way. Turn left again, forward. Left again into that room where there are level 30's , I think 30-33's in that room. Once u start to get bad xp around level 32,35. Go to that same room turn right and forward there will be level 40's. you can stay there till level 38, or level 40.
-Level 40-50-
So you made it to 40 by staying in the same training place good job! Now go to shalemont and go to Greygorge. Then train there till level 45ish. Next go to shalemot river till 50. You can train in the very back of river. You made it!
-Extras-
So extras. Probably you can get Regens to level faster. Or some ancient armor. Or probably some knows. These are not "Have To's" there "If's". If you need any more help comment bellow
