This might be a stupid question but could I lvl as fast as a fire mage being ice? I don't rlly want to change

They're both fast if you have the gear for it.

Problem is that low level ice mages can get ice blast rings for insane dps, whereas fire mages can't easily obtain fire bolt/fire storm rings.
