Is it really only 5%? Hmm damage from spells is always so random. It gives me a happy feeling to have 1.5k hp and 4k energy(4.1k with energy well no points) of course I still run out of energy...

#12See the thing is the books don't fascinate me. Yeah they add focus! Woo! It's awesome BUT that's all it really does. Add focus. It doesn't look as good as the shield, but I don't really like it cause it seems like a warrior thing and my warrior is in like stasis cause I don't like the style of playing he plays. But then there are the blades. They look sick. I mean they freakin glow! Glow!! Amazes me 
and of course they'll work well with my lures.

#13did you get the golden crown of wizardry or the one that regens 15 mp per tick? i saw a few mages with royal shield of the mountain. and a few with royal wind. and some with orbs. some with golden dagger of venom, golden focuses, books, bladed and some even use golden focus of energisation which im going for.
btw do you know how the benedictions of crom and stuff like that sell for? if they sell 20k each...... im getting my focus this week if they sell for that much...

I'm quite happy. I also bought a 70% carpet so yeah.

#16Man, I just hardly ever Wand attack. I'm always casting the next best skill. I rock the Master's Grimoire, and enjoy the extra Focus and the Energy regen.I've thought long and hard about this.
Trident, Royal shield of the mountain, or blade are the best options.
The best one to pick depends on how you built your mage.
1. if you like to have no dex, go with the trident.
2. if you like to put tons of points into focus and max energy shield go with the royal shield of the mountain (my pick)
3. if you like to put points into vitality and don't have much energy, go with blade of fire or ice (whichever lure is better).
I use royal shield of the mountain and my stats are: 5 80 400 140.
The orb is like the shield but worse. Only good if you don't have sigils.
The book adds 5% to your spell damage, not worth it unless you need energy.
Oh and I rocked the yulestave until lvl 106 when I could afford diamond wand. Wait for diamond, probably get offhand first, tough call.

Depends what your focus is before the grimore. I your wearing diamond and focus heavy points, ya it is around 5-7%. I know it is so random lol, always second guessing my lures whenever i get a low hit :/.
