Ice pvp build at higher lvls require strong gear, and I would highly recommend a freeze mount so u can double freeze, works wonders on arena with sigils + cooldowns.

im not a mage but i know this. Fire= lvling (after 185 almost impossible to solo lvl ice mage) Ice= pvp (simply because it hits apponents harder than fire and kills relatively quicker and misses less) hope this helps

According to every single ice mage on my server, ice mages level better at 180-190 compared to fire.. I can confirm this, especially when soloing and paired with freeze.

So yeah, you should make a mage before giving advice. ;P

No it isnt. It would be kinda equal while I assume ice is harder to build, mostly harder to stable. Fire specializes on speed while ice specializes on dmg, so each one has it's up and downsides which evens at the end.

I prefe ice but we're screwed if we evade in pvp with only having 2 attacks. For bossing I still prefer ice, mainly due to me being use to it for a while now and I cba to get all new fire jewelry when my ice jewelry is pretty good. On a side note, as a low lvl fire was good, I switched to ice around lvl 100 because I prefer to hit very high dmg. Haven't looked back to fire since. What is also possible if you have the gold, have jewelery for both builds and swith off with a book of alt when you want too.

I would say whatever ability you have higher.

We have a watchman to Combat situation here (swtor reference, dmg that increases over time to a certain point or burst dmg. ice would be best for bossing or high hp mobs, fire would be for low hp mobs or duels.
