Indeed, evades are the worst thing about being a mage.
Especially when it happens multiple times in a row and you are just standing there taking damage like an idiot....
Missing your lure is even worse though because if you attack its a waste of an attack......

attunement as a castable skill is also really annoying as it is pivotal to being a mage and we do tend to die quite a bit. It should always be on as an innate skill that you put points in.

The evades suck for sure but what really bothers me most about the class is the damage variation. I can go from hitting a 7.1k firebolt to a 3.1k bolt without doing anything different. If we have evades in the first place, we should have more consistant damage output to compensate.

Dying when you've just used an attunement skill. They take forever to come back and they're an absolute necessity.

I have you beat. Every skill I casted evaded to the point that I died during the attack. The humiliating part was the mob was half my level.

Evades and pathetic wand damage.

Every DnD style game gives spell casters cloth, so thats pretty standard.
