Why are you making it sound like what I said is wrong when all that you said clearly supports me? I said mages usually get about .8 bars per lix solo, and slightly more in group. You said mages benefit a lot from the group, and get 1 bar per lix in the group. In what way am I wrong? Forums aren't for speculating and guessing numbers on things that other people are actually able to observe first hand

I get 1.5 bars per lix at level 215 with another person or with group.

Level with a good DPS group and have lure of assassins at the very least for max XP gain.

Criminal is absolutely right. If you're getting less than 1 bar per lix, you're doing something very, very wrong.

With all due respect, I think it's wrong to assume all mages should be getting more than a bar per lix solo. Your gear is quite insane and that does help considerably to maximize exp per lix. I am lucky enough to have a fb skull and some decent rings, but with better gear I'd be boosting my dps by 20 percent easy. That would just about take me from .8 bars per lix to 1. I still have not found a build that allows me to reliably take out 4*'s without using double shields, multiple pots, armor lix, or all 3. If you could provide any input that helps, that would be greatly appreciated. But if I'm resorting to using several types of lix and more than 10 pots per lix I decide I'm better off settling for lower exp, running just a sk on 1-2* mobs. Is my fire lure of 30 too low at my level?

There are other things to take into account here. You dont know what other lixes people are using in addition to xps. Heck they may even be using heroic xps. Anyway, there are ways around having to use inferior gear.

The only edl piece i use is gloves, and even then dl gloves is only slightly worse. For a mage in a grp best armour is occult since it gives direct dmg, better armour than dl, and everyone can get it with enough farming.

I'm still only 155 just have not had the time to lix and grind yet but I am seeing pretty good group and solo results still. I enjoy both so it really just depends on who is online. I don't have the luxury of leveling with a rogue atm but I have had great luck with two mages or 3 person groups.

It seems to me that solo leveling is very dependent on energy regen. I am using enough sigils to keep my energy up with a little effort. Since shifting my skill points at level 150 I am a few hundred sigils short of a sustainable killing speed which I'll upgrade if they every release a double plat promotion.

I only commented that as for the exp, its not a false advice. Why do u call my advice false advice if u say we agree on that?
Regardless of gear, as long as u have a strong group u will get good xp, even with group of 8 217-224 in the general omicron area and me being 206 Id get 0.9 bars, so gladly unlike with mordy pit the xp doesnt go down drastically to estimate more than around 10 elixirs a lvl, 12 in worst case (just dont solo, only good place to solo on tower is 200 imps).
