In summary, wait a little before complaining. Do a few weeks' or days' testing then come back and give EVIDENCE that you are not a balanced class. Give improvements. OTM cannot strive to make a better game if you whine at them. Work with them.
What your proposing is called a beta, not a live game. The beta tests we do are really alpha tests and the live game is one big beta.

We are all in just one big beta all the time on Celtic Heroes.

Eshield was weak even preupdate. The system is broken, mages and druids use more of both health and energy than other classes during soloing. If you buy sigils mages and druids need at least double to get the same effect sigils would have on another class. Its just not balanced and never will be.

5000 attck and 1.7k damage with 40 sneak rend and 46 quickstrike vs a mage with 50 sheds 45 firebolt 48 incin and i think 35 Firestorm and frostbite. On a combo with 46 pirece and 40 fire and ice lure up. Nothing wrong with my build.
If a mage is running that build then he's going to out DPS anyone in the game if another mage is luring but it's not a viable build outside of any boss fights as your damage would be horrible solo without lures. Also, he must have sigils out the wazoo! But I concede, with that spec I can't see him not winning any DPS battle so I believe you.
Which shouldn't be the case. I should with my build still win. Yes he has many sigs but i was spamming pots to keep up with energy consumption as a test and i couldnt win. Luring outside is viable because my lures and his lures was all up to boost damage. When lures arnt up he also wins. This is why i say my rogue should be boosted not nerfed. The auto attack misses half the time what what every damage does its just not enough.

how bout a skill that significantly raises the mages evasion? something like "mist barrier" or something like that. it forms a barrier that evades some % of skills cast to it and gives a large defense boost to mages so they actually dodge attacks and dont die as quickly. or have that skill replace e shield?

I did mention auto attacks please read full post more then half get missed on new bosses so my auto is half of what it use to be.
I didnt mention armour but i did mention the fact you can range where we have to stand in the full range if a boss and get owned.
False information even you said yourself firebolt hits 750 less when you can cast it infact 4.5 time more(not 6 please dont bs) if thats the case dont you think a firemage is a viable solution they have fantastic dps.
Yes i do have a mage i know they was overpowered. Yes i do have a rogue and was and still is getting beat by mages on my server in dps. My rogue is super strong also just seems ill never be as good as a mage even though my class is intended for top dps.

Hi there, we have been doing extensive testing and are looking into ways to make energy shield a better gameplay mechanic, currently it's very binary either you have a shield or you die which isn't that great. There should be several strategies rather than having to have a shield all the time, so with that in mind we will be looking into any suggestions about this. As always we will also be listening to any requests resulting in balance such as this one.
bring back the old one :

all dmg you take after shield s taken on energy and not on health
adding point in that skill will increase the duration of the shield

Small idea for you mages.

I have a small idea that could be useful for mages, especially since their lack in armour. Maybe, just maybe, there could be a skill that increases the armour of a mage, just like a warrior. Not by heaps, just enough for that level. It could be called.... "BlizzardField". It's just a little idea, might be dumb might not, but idk.

Make a warrior with 242 armour 200 vit and rest in str and you tell me how much harder he needs to hit to be able to leve on mobs the same level as him
That's what mages have to do everyday im no longer playing mage till this is addressed and i will be protesting in lirs and castle until something is done and i would urge all mages on all worlds to do the same

In perspective, there was a massive boost in the damage of skills in the expansion to enable them to be higher than the rising melee damage. Now there was a patch with a slight correction to the burst damage caused by overly increased ae's, but the end result is still that mages are still massively more powerful than before the expansion, and these kinds of posts really are completely out of proportion to what has happened.
