I know what you mean. I just haven't leveled enough to get the two of them equal in point. To do any significant damage anyway, and your right, there are never enough skill points.As far as ice shards vs incenerate goes I cant choose so I have about 12 points in each as I cant choose I like both I just need more skill points.
