Scorpion, I'm not a mage, but i cn tell u that mages are not the worst. My friend is a lvl 129 mage and he cn beat me in pvp and I am loaded with lux. The 1k+ auto is only for near to dl rangers and dl rangers( full dl) dont judge ur class based on what happens at higher lvls( i assume u r lvl 180+).

Its not the lux that makes you good lol, its the build and frankly as I have a mage yes the armor value is weak but we have EShield to compensate for it. Although I have found it rather useless as of late on higher mobs, on the flip side I take out most mobs my lvl in 2 shots so its not really a big issue. If you think about it our lack of armor is balancing it somewhat, and you shouldnt be doing DL bosses alone and if your dying alot may want to look at whos with you when you boss. A bolas may keep you alive for a while longer

As someone who has a 50/40 eshield, it is most certainly incredibly useful on mobs of level, higher mobs, and bosses. Of course, the long cooldown is a different issue.

Well yes Eshield is very useful its just that its making up for the armor we lack and that was the point i was trying to get across, but the cooldown does suck so does fire attunement cooldown

Mages can be good on PvP but certainly not the best. At lower levels they can be deadly, but then again at low levels it does not really matter.

In terms of dps, im a 196 mage with dl wep and offhand, and while my 'jewellery' may not be the best yet (plan on gettin a few things), I can still get outdpsed by a 191 rogue (who is pretty sick dps).

That being said mages are still extremely important because of lures and there huge damage hits. Helps win some lock battles.
