It's good to get this into perspective, mages got SUCH a huge boost, this really is a tiny reduction in comparison to what was added in the expansion. Overall mages are still hugely more powerful than pre-update.
Sorry. I call b.s. I have a dps build and I now spend more energy than i get in health on my shield. Really??? And i used to be able to JUST beat a three star in my level range with one shield. Now, I can't even get 75% of that same mob's health with TWO shields. Oh, and just for kicks you took one of my spells and INCREASED the recast time?!?!? Please. Huge boost my a**. You just screwed the class hardcore and made it pretty much unplayable. Stop listening to what those who are complying about the greener grass are saying, put this back to the way it was and make this class playable.

Dont worry Xanadu, Im lvl 162 and I cant even kill a two star mob same level :(

I believe that OTM missed one VERY VERY important part, auto atk.

Other class are making a big fuss about our so called "OP" skill hits while they could just auto mad dps, I don't see why rangers and rogues should complain when they could just smash mobs with auto atk only.

Rogues can just 1k 1k 1k 1k auto while we poke them with our toothpicks (unless we have a blade).

Without auto our last stand is eshield and skills, and now you nerfed them...

Assume a dps rogue that does poop auto dmg (100), multiply his/her original auto dmg by 2-3 (1k x 2-3), and add it to his/her skill atks. Now you would be calling rogue op, if that's the case.

Warrior would be hitting 2k with pummel and 3k with swing.
Ranger would be doing 2.5k sharp shots.
Rogues would be doing 2k with quick strike.
Druids would be doing 2k with lightning and 3k with storm.

That's what happens when you transfer your auto atk to skill hits.
These data are based on average lvl 100 players, so don't get me started on higher lvls.

We also have poop armor, which is why eshield is there in the first place, to give us extra health to make up the poop armor. Now warrior got this shatter skill which virtually decrease our armor to 0, we are screwed. But we still got eshield right? Yeah, they decreased the power by 25%!!! Then other classes could literally one hit our shields now.

They are probably pissed at eshield's "op-ness" because they have this illusion that they are not doing dmg. Just give eshield a damn life bar too.

Mages are suppose to be doing burst dps with skills b/c they don't get the crazy auto dps other classes do, and eshield because of their paper armor. Now you nerf these 2, *sigh*. (nerf nightmare part 2, first rogues, now mages...been through both T0T)

I'm a 162 ice Mage. With a ton of sygils, maxed abilities, bone armor, awesome ice rings and bracers; nerfed to unfathomable. Getting very mad as I read these idiots posts saying this is somehow fair. Dealing with evades and slow regen skills, and now reduced e shield puts us back of the bus. Otm needs to return all skills back to original v4 patch.
Admin says mages had "such" an increase in skills on first page of this thread...well damn man, so have all the other classes! And people are only freaking out about the high level mages hitting so hard; rogue recorded over a 10k hit on my world and he was 4 levels below me. No one bitched about that. Stand your ground and keep mages slow and strong as we've been since the beginning...
Oh I know this because I have been here since June of 2011...I'm not a newb. I understand the way it should be...rangers rogues kick constant butt, mages throw a few bombs, Druids heal us (and can reskill to a nice mix so they can solo level) and warriors can be hybrid and kick most mobs asses and solo level as well. This patch has completely ruined any chance I have to level alone. It must be returned to original v4 skills.

Judging by the Admin's post I have concluded that he does not do testing himself, but looks at data. The devil is in the details admin. You must play the game at our level to understand exactly the changes that are happening. Mages are currently the least survivable and least dps in game. Something needs to be done asap. I rarely log anymore after testing the new patch as my main is a mage and is unplayable.
