Mages r all gear dependant irregardless if ur ice or fire. End game mage ice can easily out dps a fire mage if skilled right and with comparable gear to a fire mage. This being said I still out dps our ice mage but she generally is boxing other toons as well and I also rock bolt skull and necro storm brace so i cast like stupid n eat power like no tomorrow. It all comes down to play style and what is available for gear, ie if u have a plethera of Fire mages n clan u might wanna think of ice so u can get gear little more easily n vise versa.

Is it OK for me to go ice leveling build. I know fire is MUCH better for leveling But I have gear boosting ice mainly in the future and It's hard to trade for fire

Fire is nice because DL rogue/ranger armor is heat, 90%+ people use fire offhands, and assassin's lure is tied to fire magic. Also fire is better DPS, hands down.

So basically try to go fire.

Ice is hands down just more awesome.

Could just be how tired I am but this made me laugh way to much haha. Pun intended or happy accident?

Ice shards or e-shield I suppose.

Not sure why so much negativity towards ice mage builds.. They're quite fantastic and effective.
