Which resist items? Are you referring to the lvl 150 lux 500 evasion braces?

Godly bear helm has 500 resist

Godly natan charms have 500 resist and 50 to a stat or dmg

Charms are lvl 180 tho. And if you're restricting this pvp conversation to high levels, using a bear helm instead of edl/mord means losing tons of hp and e as well. A 220 warrior using both a resist charm and bear helm won't have very good stats

Actually the bear helm and charm can help alot more then you think.

A mages lure is used to reduce the opponents resist to 0 to do a 100% unresisted attack. If you can stack extra resist to overpower their lure you can drop the effectiveness of their attack substantially. The difference between 0 and 200 armor is a huge percent of damage reduction, same goes for resists.

If i have to drop say 10% of my health and 5% of my damage for 50% less damage taken id do it in a heartbeat. Its way too good to pass up.

How about you go test and see if it will make a huge difference.

Got this from yesterday's necro. Besides the spider rings from a previous halloween event, it's probably the most helpful to me.

Although the foc/dex one would have been slightly better.

Ice mages have focus/vit and ice magic ring.....so why don't we fire mages have it?

A good ice Mage can do 7-10k hits on a tank and fire can do 4-6k on them too.....so if we survive for 10-15 secs it's game over for any other class.....one thing we mages can lose to is the pierce sun ammy

Tested my damage in a duel with lure and without vs 180 resist. My ice shard damage is 10.5k atm

With lure(resist 0) I averaged 6k

Without lure(resist 180) I averaged 3.8k

That 180 resist made a huge difference, so if enough was stacked over their lure it would negate a large percent of their damage. 700ish resist over would probably take it to the 1.5k range. And if a full vit mage can lure say 1.2k and I can get over 2k resist with gear, he's in trouble.
