ok this really gets on my nerves here. each class is supposed to have a certain strength if you will. no one class is supposed to be more powerful than the other. we all know this is hardly the case. warriors are known for tanking. they have the armor, skills, and the stats to tank. they can do decent damage but not as much as the other dps classes. the fact that they have lots of health and armor is a warriors strength. druids are the healers and the buffers. rangers are a ranged dps and can lure a boss with bolas. rogues are a speedy dps attack class. finally a mage's strength is.............well its...... uhhhhhhhhh.... idk anymore do to all the nerfs. mages are supposed to be the strongest skill class. another person i forget who but im giving them credit :) put it very nicely and said that mages were the strongest class against a single enemy. back before all the nerfing this was true. i dont know what happened. it seems the developers are biased toward mages. e shield used to be focus based and take more damage. now e shield says its focus based but it is not. with e shield nerfed rogues and warrior can basically 2-3 shot mages with skills. dont even get me started about the nerf on ice mages especially. ok lets take frostbite and make it so weak. lets take ice blast and cut its damage in half. lets make obsidian/onyx armor only have +fire ability. finally lets make ice spells cost waaaay more energy and not do an insane amount more of damage and be super slow. i know i sound like i'm whining but i'm trying to prove a point.

the thing that really gets me is rogues and warriors. in pvp mages used to be the best. since the update mages are much worse than warriors and rogues. warriors get a ton of health, armor , and decent to insane damage on melee hits. the skills for warrior are very good too. rogues are totally bs boasting more armor than mages, fast attack rate, and their ever so bs skills. especially shadow strike. if anyone checks the largest skills hit in game you will see that like the top 10-12 people of all servers are rogues. i think OTM needs to nerf shadowstrike next:) in all seriousness though, energy shield needs to be focus based again, and ice blast, attune, etc. need to be un-nerfed.

I beat most rogues, rangers and druids at my level. It doesn't matter what your opponents armour is, since we deal elemental damage. As long as your lure is high enough to remove all their fire/ice resistance, you will be hitting optimal damage. I hit 2-3k with fire storm in PvP, and 1-2k with fire bolt. Not many people have 4k+ hp, so mages still pretty good in PvP.

Warriors are OP in PvP and I'm okay with that. Hard to kill someone with a billion hp and decent dps.

If you look at the amount of nerfing that was done on a mage it is hilarious. I have the DL weapon and offhand. With the offhand and the weapon i am able to finally start getting kills on bosses. before out dpsing a Rouge was hilarious. So heres what it takes fellow mages to get the kill. About 3k sigils in energy, 2 k in health. a level 183 with all dragon. thats it... SMH.

Ok. I complained back in the day with my first (forgotten) forum account. No one listened. No one cared. I was told that I am a noob and do not know how games work. To which i thought lol. Ok. And went back to world of warcraft. One day i was too lazy to set up my laptop and just played on my ipad. So hello celtic heroes. I found a balance and just settled playing a crappy class. Which btw. I am always a mage on any other mmorpg. Always. And they are not crappy. Anyway. I digress. I did not complain two months ago because i wasnt back on forums. Also i have learned that complaints about mages get ignored. If you find a way to play mages. Good for you. It is just because you have grown accustomed to it. My lvl 120 mage cant tank a fairy boss in ow with a druid. My lvl 105 rogue can do so incredibly easy. But i guess i just dont know how to play games. Too much of a noob. This is the last i have to say on it. If you guys want to know what a mage really is. Play world of warcraft then come back.

Mages aren't meant to be tanks, which is why they have such low armour. Instead you can concentrate points into lures to make your whole group stronger, or get a tank.

+1 in ch, mages are the best mob debuffers, the only energy healers, and the best burst damage.
No way in hell do they need to be better at long term dps, or tanking or anything, they already have more options in style of gameplay than any other class.

Honestly, the only lure that really makes a difference is lure of assasins so we do have a support role but it's not as great as many seem to believe. In fact, I believe the rogue sill expose weaknesses is becoming far more important, especially at hrungnir. Lowering the evasions so roots/bolas have a better chance at landing saves a lot of trouble and idols. The only energy healers... Like I said in another post, we're too busy healing our own energy so.... Why is burst damage part of our role? It does not help or change the way we do bosses or kill mobs other than the fact that it becomes quite annoying nuking a mob to the last few percent and then having to wait as the skills load while the mob kills you.
