One thing i just remembered about an idea in beta that imo would help mages solo better without really changing their armor as imo being a cloth based class they should have lower armor. The idea mentioned was to make the freeze skill not break on contact with other ice based skills meaning an ice mage could use freeze cast their ice spells without it breaking which should give them time to finish 1-2* mobs easily while still having some challenge with higher * mobs like other classes. There would need to be some minor tweaks for pvp and other small instances but since it would only work with i e based skills it won't be op imo.
This was one of the points I made earlier in this topic but where are those skill points going to come from?

Omfg u guys i think u all just want mages to be best at everything?!?!
There armour is cloth and there not meant to take alot of hits and are not meant to solo because the point of the game is teamwork. Mages are a s**t ton more damage than rogues and are ranged!!! Compare 2 equal people mage(joshturner 182 mage) vs rogue me(177 rogue) both have top gear for there class. We attack i do sneaky attack and hit 2500-4000 and josh does iceshards and hits 5000+ and i start autoing 600-800s at 1857 damage and josh does ice blast which hits 6000+ then frostbite which has a DOT damage of 2000 per tic and iceblast is aoe!! And by the time sneaky loads again he has already done iceblast 4-5 times. Do the math josh does over 2x as much dps as rogues but is also capable of insane support! Mages do not need buffed in any way. If a mage the same level as a rogue is doing less damage he is an idiot and has no clue how to be a mage. And Marco and drizzt need to change to a rogue and find out what its like because i guarantee they will love mages after trying a terrible class like rogue. There sig is hypocritical because if they say 'why be a mage' then why are they still mages. Mite as well give mages touch and taunt and pro stance and also increase there armour plus why not give them bolus too u guys will never be satisfied with your class untill u know what its like to be any other class. Mages right now are by far the best class and if u dont see that your the broken one not mages. Just ask any of the dps mages that know what there doing! They are all content with what they are.

Lol, all I saw was a big wall of "I'm a big bad rogue and helping mages in any way is going to somehow hurt me." Anyways, marco and drizzt may take it a bit too far sometimes but the general points still stands. Mages are worse at surviving against simple mobs, particularly icemages.

No one said it had to be a crazy boost to armour so we'll be able to tank and I don't think an increase in dps is fair or would make us any better at soloing especially with the evades. It's just difficult finding a solution to surviving without making other classes seemed threatened apparantly. :(

Honestly you have E-Shield, isn't that enough? Don't hate on a class because you cannot effectively use it.
Eshield? Eshield?! *Crazy insane rage* Eshield can not be the only solution to mage survivabilty especially when over half of us don't even have points to max it if any points are even allotted to it at all. Even admin stated this (see above posts).

Honestly you have E-Shield, isn't that enough? Don't hate on a class because you cannot effectively use it.
As far as shield... Solo with it means you get about 1 kill per minute (even a maxed shield can be broken by a 1 star mob, 3 stars have to be double shielded)

Hummm, second sneaky reloads equal to ice blast 4-5 times (Even bigger question mark??)

Can someone verify this as I highly doubt it?

I think we all can agree mages could use some form of survivability boost and this was kind of *promised* by OTM. At the end of the day, all classes are broken - some minor, some major. Hell, even the quest items or event items are broken. Disappointment really..
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.
