Hey this is just me but forget dex. It's not a big deal ask any high lvl mags it's pretty much useless and a waste even out vitality and focus till each is 200 then forget vitality
And just put points into focus. However earlier I said dex didn't matter but once u r a lvl 80 or so get a blue book so u can take some points from vitality and focus and put a little dex a dodge here or there could mean a major boss dead:)

To reiterate myself:

if using energy shield
0 str
0 dex
4-5 pts per level focus
0-1 pts per level vitality

use the 4-1 if you want to solo 1-2 star mobs your level without casting energy shield.


If not using energy shield:

0 str
0 dex
2 points focus per level
3 points vitality per level

After the energy cost patch these builds work even better.


Skills:

max one lure
max one main damage spell
max e-shield
points into E boost, meditate, well, or quest skill.

or

Max both lures
Max firebolt and shards
points into incinerate, med, eboost, or well

Max shards and fireball build mainly focus and you only need enough vit to live long enough to recast energy shield
have energy shield about half the max you are allowed to get
With skills like this you will hit hard and shield should keep you alive long enough to finish fight
My other top tip is to cast shield long before fight starts and engage in fight just before you can recast it so you get to use it twice in combat
My Mage now has 80 vit and 430 focus 5 in everything else I can solo 3 star trees at level 104 and my Mage is 97
