Hey!!
I currently have a bodkin of spirits but I'm thinking because I might go mage pure (my main's a warrior), I think I might try to trade my Bodkin for the mighty crown spirit lux shield. :p
Should I?
Because my auto attack is kinda useless and I feel I could use the extra stats on defence, also it can be useful for shield bash on my warrior if I don't give up on him.

Or should I try to get a golden Focus of rejuvenation?

I honestly think u should get the focus first off it looks boss:D and escond the regen is amazing and it looks awesome with crystal armor!

My debate is between golden focus of juve and Mighty shield of crowns as well (NOT crown shield of spirits, that will blow about 170 energy from the weight). Definitely don't use bodkin, you will blow like 60 energy from the weight, plus the health and energy bonus is low.

I will get golden focus first since I am not in otherworld and want the mana regen, But I will also buy Mighty shield of crowns later to have handy when I need the extra armor.

But shoot it would be cool to have that Mighty shield of crowns... and magic resists kinda suck for the most part.

Think about it like this; it would take 17 ticks (85 seconds) in a fight to regen as much energy with mighty crown shield of spirits as you loose from the weight of the shield. IMO any mage that uses Mighty crown shield of spirits is gravely mistaken.

If I were u I would go with the bodkin. I've tryed all other offhands mighty shield spirit, mighty shield crowns, bodkin of energy, bodkin of spirits, and gold focus. I always go back to focus it is best Mage offhand, hands down. Unless u r a tank and don't care about energy. My Mage is dps so I need as much energy as I can get.

I'd go with the bodkin. Shield and Focus are defensive offhands while mage, being a DPS, is offensive and the bodkin adds quite a bit of additional dmg.

Or wait until a new offhand for mages is out and decide then.

Also, I don't play in the Otherworld, but I hear that a shield is really useful there.

Shield is best generally as most mobs deal physical damge abd less armor means you would need more health. As for weight difference, mages have enough focus that a little more weight isn't going to affect your fighting enough to be concerned. In OW the lower level mobs all deal physical damage which would greatly reduce the usefullness of the golden focus.

Personally at level 88, I can take on a 3* level 99 without using pots and usually have just enough energy. without shield I would need more health to level, meaning I would have less focus, which in turn gives less damage, requiring more skill casts per fight, and in the end, using any energy I would have gained.

If you want to make your main a mage, i would suggest the shield because the extra damage rogues and warriors use from the bodkin doesn't do much for a mage
