Lures...

Has anyone done any extensive testing on lures?

I have been manually parsing and not seen a big delta between fire ball or ice shards with and without lures in.

Tried lvl 119 mobs, tried target in castle and tried very low lvl mobs on beach. Oddly the low level mobs almost seem to get more resistant when I use the lure...maybe their resist is low already and the lure goes negative...

Right now in really questioning the value and would like to see if others have tested. The random dmg from attacks makes it very complicated with no way to parse a log file.

From the testing I've done, I have found that lures are good to a point. Low le el mobs don't have much resistance to start with so level 1 lures are sufficient to reduce their resistance to 0. At the moment I'm leveling on blue eyes and 10/25 with lures seem to be about right (my lures reduce by about 186). You just have to experiment and guess what an efficient lure level is for what you are fighting.

As for bosses, the higher the better.

I only use a 6 fire lure. It was 25 but that was just a waste of skill points.

So for normal leveling something like 10 is best but for bosses max it?

Since I specialize in fire I have always maxed it but I'm open to change, thanks.

Just to confirm, the various resistances cannot be be brought below 0, right?
