Would a mage be good for an alt for a druid? My main is a druid and I'm trying to find out what's a fun class to play, and which class would be good for an alt for a druid!

I recommend you have all 5 classes. Also if you ever plan to have two devices, put them on different accounts so they can play together.
Mages are very busy, you dont get to rest and auto ever. I have a hard time chatting during a fight.
Of my 5 toons, mage is my favorite, warrior is my least favorite.
Mage Druid partnership is nice, one heals energy the other heals hp.

Wish I thought about the two account thing earlier :/. Great advice.
Personally I think mage and druid are awkward together because of energy shield but if you have enough health not to cast shield, it could work I guess.

Can be a great combo, I think.
I have mage on one acct and druid on the other. I play two devices. I also have rogues on each acct and a ranger and a warrior that I've never levelled.
If you are gonna do two devices/two accts, definitely think about who you want to pair and make sure they are on diff accts.
I will say that running two at once can be pretty tiring and can make boss fights pretty intense, so i don't always run two. But I can pick who I want to level based on who in clan I'm gonna level with. do they need dps or heal?
My girls are built for group work and duo levelling - so if I'm not levelling with a clannie, I can level the two together and it works great. Druid is entirely heal/buff, not a single offensive skill point. Mage is dps, no energy shield, no bandage, etc. Currently all my mage's skill points are in fire bolt/lure/incinerate/firestorm, ice shards, ice lure, and lure of soldiers as we have a lot of warriors in clan using swords.

Ya, whatever class ypu pick make sure it is a tank that you can auto with so its not a big burden with two devices.
You can make a tank Ranger, Warrior, or Rogue I would think.
