Trident for Mages

Hi, I'm saving up for a Golden trident of Magic, but im wondering if the trident will do its damage even if i auto-attack at a range with my wand. plz reply asap

Yes.
Offhands add to your main hand damage, they don't attack on their own.
But, dont get the magic one, get the fire or ice unless you are lvl 130+

Yes, it adds dmg, but what if i use my wand in a range? Will the trident'd dmg effect?

yes it does. you can attack from range and the damage will be added into your melee from the range

i saw beatz with a trident and hes using a yulsetave and it did 50 mlee on bloodgrove druids and more on fellfire hehe.

i mean NORMAL wands, yulstave has a loonger range than normal wands.
