Ok in awarn me and a friend LordDoctor were boasting about our lures as all good mages do....well all good support mages anyway....as we were boasting we found that our lures were the same!!! Only off by as much as 50.

Now this may seem like, ok wtf this guy is wasting my time.

Here's the weird part... He is a level 128 Mage with a lure of assassins at roughly 42/30 and a 800 focus build, me on the other hand... No point in laughing... Am only a level 117 with a assassins lure of 30/25 and focus is 405.... See our delema?

Side note, was tested on multiple mobs including aggragoth cave mobs..... Any ideas?

Yea this seems a bit weird. There are already problems with dps mages and then many people argue to switch to support. Now support mage has a problem. Level shouldn't have too much to do with lure effect(similar to Druids healing) but the amount of skill points placed in the lure and the amount of focus points should have a more noticeable change. I have rings that bring the skill up to 42/30. That should get like 200 more dmg...

Can you share which rings you'll use more?

Ye I have a theory. You have reduced the mobs resistance to 0 with the lures. This means Doc has some wasted points in lures. If he respects you could try building up the lure to see where this happens. The difference in damage is the due to difference focus. Maybe.

Hmm... I thought about this idea and I guess it is the only explanation. But I can assume that aggy still has a great deal of resistance so it will still be noticeably more useful on him. Thank you for the insight.
