Hello, everyone! And this is deans rant about why people hate mages and never play them
So let's list things mages are good at
Support for other classes, and guessing who is missing energy and needs a boost.
So let's look at that one sentence up there... And see why that is so appealing. It's NOT appealing because nobody wants to be that useless class that doesn't do noticeable help and is needed for a boss fight.
If you guys don't get my drift, I'm saying mages don't have a real job in Celtic heroes.
On a side note please don't post
"Mages have energy shield Itz very good!"
Energy shield is bs... I'm not gonna sit thier on exp pot waiting for my energy shield to load twice so I can kill the 2 star mob in front of me.
Now the the pros of a Mage are done and said (the "good things" of a Mage suck) I'm going to move into the cons of being a Mage.
Worst armor in the game - just to start, we die super quick
Worst DPS in the game - so you might be looking at this saying... Wth?!?? Mages have like the best dps in the game!! No. Mages have the worst
Warrior, Rogue, and Rangers beat a Mage in a dps fight of all the meelee classes have maxed
Strength and the mages have maxed focus
Druids and mages can throw down around the same dps if the Druid really tried
Mages are unstable - mages are the most unstable, untested, most unused class in the game.
Energy regen - mages can't keep up with thier skills
Plat - mages are forced to spend 600 sigils and energy potion so that they can keep up with bosses. And whats the Point!!! So that a Mage spends hundreds to make the worst class in the game!!!!
I'm a 150 Mage. With 1060 focus, 6000 energy, and 300 sigils. I can't out dps rogues 20 levels under me. I can't kill things my level. Do you wanna know why I still play? Because I'm the last active high Mage on my server.
Please recognize admin and community, mages need changes. I can lead a horse to water but I can't make it drink.

#2Hi thanks for feedback, we made some changes in the last patch which increased mage dps and mage energy regen. We will keep looking at game balance on an ongoing basis and will make changes as necessary in future patches. In the mean time clear objective feedback is very welcome as it helps us with balancing the game. I'm going to ask for some more tests to be done which will give us some more empirical information.

#4Please let those tests be made without lures, or with and without lure (2 tests) because part of the legitimate Mage beef is that the time it takes to cast their lures (the one's that don't get evaded) is the same time other Melee based classes are rocking serious dps from just auto attack & haste gloves.Hi thanks for feedback, we made some changes in the last patch which increased mage dps and mage energy regen. Can the empirical data be gathered in true DPS as in Damage Per Second, because I assure you the Mage DMG Per Second falls off considerably compared to hastened autoattack of other classes.

The natives are restless. Your Mages are gonna storm your Bastille soon.

#8+1.....I'm a level 140 Mage and it gets really old. Other games have mages figured out. This one is way off. We probably only have 4 active mages over level 100 on my server. The patch helped a little bit, but still has a loooooong way to go. I am still out of mana after two kills (with 6000 energy) and I will most likely die fighting something 20 levels below me.
Why are the developers SO hesitant to really fix the mana problem???? Cut the mana cost per spell in half, boom! solution. Make incinerate something worth while people want to use, boom! solution. Make time to cast lures instantaneous, boom! solution. Introduce faster caster gloves, boom! solution. If our armour is going to continue to be the weakest, make us kill quicker, boom! solution.
You know the problems, fix them. Stop asking for specific opportunities for improvement. There are 1000's of posts on this.

Not to mention the Energy cost of casting Lure! I don't think Any mage Even consider Not using Lures!

The solutions above are great, and make Spells cost half and ou NEED to make caster gloves or make a spell used ONLY for bosses, like a nuke spell.+1.....I'm a level 140 Mage and it gets really old. Ice barrage- 35/35 do up to 9000 dmg 10 second cast time 5 minute cooldown
