I'm a level 80 mage and my cloak of fire is at 16/20. I made it this high because I heard it deals out a lot of damage. It only deals out like 35 hit points on the red eyes in OW. Is there something I can do to make it deal more? People say its one if the good skills to upgrade but I don't see why. Thanks

Simple question has simple answer, use a damn lure!

I recommend always maxing fire cloak at all levels and have enough fire Lure for whatever you are fighting. (testing required)

Why. Because it is always active whenever you get hit. It is additional damage over and above whatever you happen to be doing. And you can buff other people with it.

My cloak is close to half of the damage I deal when leveling solo. It is also helpful to a group.
Add to your lure and max it out. It is very useful you are probabably just experiencing the higher resist of ow mobs.

At level 90 with 25/25 cloak and about a 15/25 lure you should do pretty good.

Phh, lvl 80 max cloak and max lure, 100+ damage, even to golems!

Not braging or anything, but im 151 with a 44/35 cloak.. With no lure it gonna be crap. If i dont use a lure its gonna hit around 100-150.. With lure it can easily hit over 300.. I can not stress enough the importance of a lure to aid to the damage of the cloak of fire..

Only a lvl 125 mage here but I've had cloak maxed forever and it is by far my favorite skill. With lure it does around 250 to golems at 30-30. Gotta use lure though
