How to keep up with energy?

Currently using a melee-spell mage with firebolt and shards plus melee damage. Have maxed e boost and a level 12 e shield. Energy isn't a problem for now but I was wondering how high level mages keep up with energy using no sigils and a maxed e boost. Should I get energy regen items such as a helm to replace the golden helm of intensity? Should I get the 5 energy regen ring or a royal ring of e boost?

Answer to your question using high level spells really keeping up with energy completely is impossible without sigils or potions if you use skills at level 30 or so its not so difficult however once u get higher energy costs become alot greater.

dmg helm is better for melee build
royal e.boost is far better than eng ring
if u see u cant keep up at higher lvl lower ur shield and higher something else (or max boost)
dont take all the pts from shield just lower a bit
or lvl with a druid so u wont have to use it that much

Im a melee-fire mage and use shield at lv22 and bolt at lv36 its pretty hard to keep energy up,but with boost i almost have 120 regen just cast boost when its ready, energy shoud be no problem for you.
