I'm thinking about making a fire dmg mage but I've read past topics and most fire mages have earthstone and like intensity helm, ect.are these essential for fire mage and what would I need for a lv54 mage to be fire?
Such as the stats and skills needed.

The earthstone and the intensity helm and the bracelets and the extra accessories are all to increase the player's heat damage. Now, this is useful for a melee Mage that uses a offhand like a Golden Blade of Fire. What folks do is they take this offhand, and use it without a main hand (because wands are more or less useless) and whack the enemy as fast as possible as they have no weapon. No main hand weapon. So they cause reasonable amount of damage very quickly. And the earthstone and all is so that this damage is increased.

Now if you're referring to a fire mage in terms of spells then I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. I dont know how well geared you are :/
Earthstone is high end gear and quite expensive. The retail price for a golden blade of fire is 250k and so you'd have to spend a lot to get well on a melee mage build.

A fire mage that uses fire spells wont have that much of a problem i figure. Firebolt, cloak, lure of fire ---, incinerate, firestorm etc. typical mage build i guess. If youre not using energy shield then up your health. Get a big enough energy pool to sustain a fight and make you sure you can regen it the energy well. (Sigils or skills your choice).
