I can tank all bosses ( just not aggragoth/lavalord/stonelord ) with my current build
310 vit all other in focus
I have the shield off hand for armour and with druid using bark and abundance i have
900 armour and 3,4k hp ( 4,5k hp with pie ).
It works very well, can tank bosses with 1-3 druids healing me.
Only con is that a boss with fast melee ( chained king for example ) interrupts energy boost so i have a chance of running out of energy.

I respec all the time. My basic tank build is 2500 base hp. Max eshield and max fire cloak.
I am to cheap to buy a shield but that would make it even better.
If your serious add a little dex and howling wind from a druid to increase evades.
I think it is pretty easy to set up a support mage that can tank in a pinch. Just dont let your team use skills at the start of the fight or agro can be a problem. I use to max ice shards to take agro but dont anymore. Waiting for more ice spells.
Best part about mages is we can do anything if we spec right.

Spit what skills ( or order ) you use to keep aggro? Most time i start an after 1-2min the boss is focusing on the dps ppl in my group ( rogues mainly ) but they only use auto.

Hello Mage Need Help Person,
I have a mage, and mages really dont have the most armor. You could try being a hybrid mage? IDK otherwise.
Still, good luck

Meeeeee. I have tanked quite a few bosses Rocklanche with 1 druid friend, Dominator,Swamplord once. Also have done a few others. A while back I did a duo with a warrior on Belly who crashed lol. First time i did too and wished at the time it was me that crashed lol. I can solo but haven't much because i would want to include others of course. I'm not a big boss hunter but i actually like tanking. I have 48/35 incinerate which is my fav skill because it looks cool.Would love a signature kill like, "Inferno!!!"across the screen but this isn't Mortal Kombat rofl. I do enjoy saying after i tanked asking group,"What's a warrior?" Sarcastically speaking.

I have seen a few warriors who don't use taunt. I wish i had taunt and i test skills a lot. I use a fire blade, I do have sigils and E shield. Gotta love it

I will loose agro to a same level dps most of the time also. Rogues cant skill or they take it right away.
I have not found a proper way to hold agro but asking the group to wait 10 seconds before starting to attack helps.
Also if the group all dies agro returns to me

I'm not exactly a tank mage, but I have a whopping 3k hp and manage to outdps mages above my level. You have to build your vitality right, focus looses its "oomph" at a certain point so stop it around there. Also, focus boost gear allows for more vitality. You don't really tank as a mage, the extra hp helps with soloing.
