Hi. I've always been interested in playing a mage. With the new update, is it easy to start a mage without being able to have lux or buy plat? Would it be easy? I found it easy to raise my ranger but I'm wondering if I could do the same with a mage. Could somone give me some tips if so?

If your sig is correct you could easily play a mage at lower levels.
You will need to use eboost or sacrifice for energy with no lux.

Also keep in mind you can run to the tavern whenever you run out of energy.
