It is true that mages haven't changed much, but the problem is other classes got a SIGNIFICANT BUFF (new skills, most of them are really badass).

For us mages, some skills are badass alright (attunement), but frostbite and ice blast are just pathetic (they are merely a weaker versionn of inc and firestorm, and they have longer cooldowns and cost more energy).

In addition, warriors got this magical skill called shatter, which virtually strip our tissue armor off.

Also mage's eshield got nerfed, though personally I don't think that is a BIG nerf I'm definitely affected.

Mages (and rangers) seemed weaker due to the massive boosts other classes are recieving.

But the BIG thing that turn mages into cannon fodder is the magical "double" skill family (double attack and double shot)
Mages do not possess this skill, and even if we do it's useless anyway due to our infamously low auto dmg.

So a typical warrior can shatter, double atk and ur eshield breaks if they hav decent offhand or jotun weaps (grimling, askold, ymir), and rogues and rangers, with their notoriously high auto dmg, will obliterate us in seconds with these double skills.

overall, yes, mage haven't changed alot, which makes them weak, b/c other classes recieved BIG buffs compared to us (maybe except rangers)

Umm mages on heroic mana lix , no need for a single sigil .

If your mages are not competing and even dominating maybe they need to work on their build a little :)

Plat needs to be spent regardless. Either buy sigils, buy anc chests, or buy from someone who has spent plat. The point he is trying to make is that, in order to compete as a mage, alot of plat needs to be spent by someone; and this is simply not true for rogues, warriors, and rangers (druids are kind of in the same boat as mages).
