Best Mage Set (only in store bought items!) at least according to lv 70+ mages I surveyed.

Helm: Golden Eagle Chieftain Helm
Hands: Heroic Gloves of Haste
Feet: Heroic Boots of Speed
Torso: Ancient Silk Shirt
Legs: Ancient Silk Gown
Main hand: Golden Sceptre of Blizzards
Offhand: Golden Bodkin of Spirits
Misc: Heroic Amulet of Rejuvenation

No; Golden Sceptre of Blizzards is way better.
Offhand: Golden Focus of Rejuvenation
No, a shield is better for mages. If you have a Heroic rejuv, you don't even need an energy regen shield. Mighty Shield of Crowns works just fine for me and it regens 15 hp per tick.

Here is what I have... I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE BEST YET :) but I like hearing and sharing what ppl are using.

Level: 85 Mage

Helm: Meteoric Cowl
Hands: Meteoric Gloves
Feet: Meteoric Boots
Torso: Woven Sorcerous Gown :oops: (hopefully get warden soon!)
Legs: Meteoric Skirt
Main hand: Ice king wand
Offhand: Golden focus of energy
Misc: Heroic Amulet of energy
Misc: 5 Energy sigils

This gives me 2200 hp and 570 energy. I regen 35 mana per tick. With energy shield and energy boost, I can solo most 2-3 star red place holders and tank many of the smaller stonevale bosses.

I am saving for a fast movement item... probably one of the higher level sleds.

I didnt want the health regen items because the highest level mobs/boss hit 100-1500... regenning 30 hp points isnt going to make a differance during a fight. The only time it'd be nice is is healing inbetween fights and at lower mage levels.

Im sure different people have different opinions. This is just me and it works really really well.
I believe the original post said something about vendor-baught gear.
