Still New with my Mage

Hey guys, I recently started a mage about a couple weeks ago, and I'm still not entirely sure whether to put my points more towards the focus or the vitality. I know there have been posts about this before, but I would like to see if everyone has some positives and negatives between putting points towards health vs. putting points towards focus.
I myself have put more of my skill points towards fire abilities compared to the ice abilities. This is because the ice shards costs quite a bit of energy which hurts since I have no rejuvanation items yet. I seem to be doing alright seeing that I'm a lvl 46 that can take on a lvls 60-74, 75-80s with a druid my same level.
Currently my stats are: 5 str, 25 dex, 125 foc, and 95 vit. My skills include: bandage wounds 6/15, meditate 2/15, energy boost 3/15, fire bolt and lure of fire 11/15, and cloak of fire 15/15. I have 694 health and 411 energy.
Any tips on how to level a mage would be great, since I'm more used to having a ranger for the last couple of months. I thank anyone ahead of time that takes the time to read this and reply.

I saw that post, but I was also wondering if anyone else would mind sharing their stats along with their abilities.

5 170 90 160
Firebolt (15/15)
Ice Shards (15/15)
Lure of Fire (15/15)
Energy Well (5/15)
Cloak of Fire (15/15)
Energy Shield (10/10)
I set up with Energy Well, Cloak of Fire, and Energy Shield. I start most battles with Lure of Fire. I cast Ice Shards and Firebolt until I run out of energy. Then I quickly regen enough energy to continue using Firebolt. I regen more energy than I use with Firebolt, so I am able to cast Ice shards again, and Lure of Fire when needed. I finnish my battles before the need to cast Ice shards again unless I'm soloing a mini boss.

Im not useing my mage atm but in my opinion your skills are way to spread out you should focuse mainly on one skill max it and then do it again.

How are my skills too spread? My fire magic ability is maxed, and I use each skill to my advantage. What else am I supposed to put?
I'm an experienced Mage, and I'm a very logical person. I know what i'm talking about. I understand it's just your opinion, but I strongly disagree with you and I have no intention to change my ways.
