Hey there guys. I'm a 145 druid and my buddy is a 105 mage. Since druids got energy screwy, we are going to be training and bossing soon once he reaches me. My question is... What is a good set up for mage and druid same level to maximize dps and stay alive.
Full dps mage and full support druid. Hybrid druid and well rounded mage. I need some input here

In a little more detail... Druid uses a few damage skills. Vines lightning. they use abundance Maxed, this is for the purpose of not requiring vitality points on either build. Shield of bark works well for both players. And your nature's touch for quick heals.
The mage would have to have a high sacrifice or e boost, but would be able to feed druid energy as druid feeds mage health. Energy shield helps as well.
With this constant energy to health trade, you can maintain all energy and health while leveling for both characters.
Arguably two non stop dps could do more dps than one rouge or warrior overtime.
You gave this advice to me so i must give it back to you wise caster!!!!

There's got to be some other way that I'm just not seeing. Freeze and roots maybe? Long endurance builds? Energy well? I'm trying to make a flawless duo team.

I do this duo with a few hybrid (and support) druid friends. I love it. I don't have to cast eshield because they have embrace and the other hps skills to keep me alive. I boost myself and them when they need it to keep energy up and I serve as the primary dps, keeping the mobs on me as the "tank" while they heal me and supplement my dps. It's a pretty sweet duo actually.

I don't know enough about mages but I'm assuming a druid could keep you alive without use of your e shield. Allowing for skill points in other areas.
Could an e boost fully supplement regen on two players non stop?

Well, it is less the skill points and more the energy consumption of not casting eshield. With the right amount of energy regen lux, I can usually boost the druid when s/he needs it without a huge problem.

Max bark roots is a must if they have any type of sigils for regen no point in having wind becausw mages have like 10 defece best mage support build imo is max root bark touch embrace and depending on if the mage u train with is pure dps maybe invest your remaining points into abundance mages have enough dps they dont need deuids to dps they need deuid to keep them alive lemme no if this helps u davies
With your skills set up like this it wont matter if your mage uses sheild or not with bark dmg is resuced like 40% and with roots we dont get hit anyways bark is just the side cast incase ur roots avoid
When i duel my mage n druid to lvl i put my mage pure focus like 1k life all dmg spells no shield and pute my druid pure support with things that would help a mage like bark/root got no problems at all with this method but i do have 1.5k energy sig on druid and 3k+ of ea sig on spoon so sigs help alot in long run save me money on lix
If your druid or mage doesnt have some serious energy regen with hero lix or something ur gunna be in trouble lol make sure u have enough regens

My idea was, shards, bolt, blast, and storm maxed On mage. Just as fast as dps can be cast.
Secondary e boost and sacrifice.
For druid, i planned bark, embrace, lightning, and storm touch
Secondary abundance and nature's touch.
I had planned to blast 1-3 stars and heal through 4-5.
Low vitality on both characters. focus maxed.
I think roots would be too slow.

2 elemental skills with attune and lure will do more dps with much less energy cost, not to mention that improving the fastest skill's dmg (firebolt), will increase dps by a lot
