Hi,

Since wands seem to have serious issues for low level players, what main handed weapon deals a decent amount of damage?

if you can try to get 1 of them regen rods which are pretty rare i think

I've been doing empty main hand with haste gloves and high damage offhand. With maxed hand 2 hand, it's been doing me well.

dont worry so much about what to use as a main hand at a low level. just use whatever wand you have. i know wands suck but its not a big deal at lower levels. when you hit 80 you can use the diamond weapon which adds ice and fire magic, thus increasing spell damage. also, you can level on a mount at lower levels if you wish.

while your leveling toward 110+ you should always be looking for aggy books as these will serve you the best as a mage. direct damage, fire/ice magic, focus, and skill points are the things you want to have on your weapon. this is why aggy books are so good (focus and fire/ice magic).

Only rare wands at ur lvl

Definitely aim for a skill boost main hand (Exiled, Lizard King, Undefeated wand- increased ice shard damage; this event's wands- increased ice blast damage)
A regen phoenix rod is also handy but is far less useful compared to skill wands.

Or....... CRUEL KNIFE!!! i did that with golden blade b4 i changed offhand to masters grim at lvl 60
