Hello,

I was wondering if the skull that adds +9 FireStorm and 20% cooldown and 500 energy is more dps than my book that adds. 150 focus and 200 fire damage.

I have Firebolt 50/35 so If I max firestorm to 50/35 also, it will be much better in the long run, right?

If you don't have anything else to add to firestorm, then yeah skull would help.

A much better combination is a fire bolt skull and fire storm hrung helm.

Since firebolt is the best mage dps skill, it benefits the most from having a cooldown reduction item. I'd say the firestorm skull is better than mordy grim, but a firebolt skull would be a better alternative. If you can't get one of those try to find an imperial firebolt emberdrake charm

I have been using a firestorm skull since I was level 175 and I love it. I can use bolt, storm and when storm is done casting I can cast bolt again. Then I have a little time for the dl offhand skill and after that firestorm is ready.

What I am trying to say is: I dont know if a faster bolt cooldown would benefit me that much, because i can already spam my skills without really waiting for a cooldown. If I were you I would definitely use a firestorm skull, the skill points allow you to max the skill and the cooldown ups your dps by a tremendous amount.

^ I used a void storm skull for a little while before passing to a clanny because of the massive difference shadow fire bolt skull made in comparison.

If you don't have a bolt skull, then that's a different story.

I'm currently using a shadow firestorm with might firestorm helm......But ideally, I prefer bolt skull, Storm hrung helm, and Necro Firestorm Band

Why not shards helm? Better dps skill than storm
