Hey guys, this is the guide of the new spells in the update.

Incinerate-Lights your enemy on flames, works from a distance, and causes heat damage per tick over time
Firestorm-Acts like fire bolt. However deals much more damage, but causes longer reload and more energy to cast.
Sacrifice-Trades in little of your health for a lot of energy. It's basically bandage wounds but other way around.
Icicle Freeze-Freezes your enemy at a distance, disabling their attack and movement. Allows u to cast skills without being interrupted.
Lure of Magic-Decreases your enemies resistance to magic.
Lure of Assassins-Decreases your enemies resistance to pierce.
Lure of Soldiers-Decreases your enemies resistance to slash.
Lure of Giants-Decreases your enemies resistance to crush.

***If u want to see the animations of the some of the spells, or how it works go to my post, "VIDEO ABOUT NEW MAGE SKILLS!!"

Thanks!!

A few clarifications:

Freeze breaks with DMG. So you can cast it and the target freezes completely, but then anything else you cast that DMGs will break the freeze. In Beta many people used a freeze to re-lure, or recast energy shield. And then fire up another DMG spell.

Also other Mage Spells have been changed, so all old spells are in but some have changed. I will let Marshill or Spirithealer or Drizzt comment, they know better than me on the in's and out's. I know energy shield is one of these.

Sacrifice heals Energy at the expense of the Mage's Health. You can cast it on yourself, or on another. Like if your tank is out if energy and can't taunt, you can "Sacrifice" your Health to give them energy.

Firestorm splashes serious fire over an area, hitting more than just one target.

All Mage skills stay though some have been tweaked, everyone gets a free book of rebirth and alteration to decide on new stats and new skills so don't stress your current build, you have opportunity to change it.

As for Mage worth, I would say that the Cloak still reigns supreme and the Mage's DPS is now a real DPS, they can do serious DMG now. Also LURES are extremely powerful. They are gonna wreck shop in boss fights.

I like the looks of the new mage skills...reminds me of a game I used to play in a good way. Nearly every map in that game was a pvp zone except for the new player training area. Anyway, it was fun freezing people in place, loading up a fire spell or two, refreeze again, etc. Even had a skill like sacrifice too. That skill was money.
