Re: Focus

There are definitely diminishing returns on damage and often times it becomes easier to boost your damage with fire/ice ability items rather than with focus boosts. But focus does add to your energy pool, makes energy lix regen better, and allows you to cast longer without having to stop and wait for sigils for instance. Speaking for myself, I have enough hp from gear to do 99% of things I want to be able to do anyways, so every available point goes into focus regardless of diminishing returns.

Focus + ability makes an op mage if you can't find a decent balance all you will be is a mage with a decent hit and very high energy that misses half the time. More focus isn't always better.

._.

crim ur totally wrong smh. i thought that u upgraded strength to 2000 first, so u can have all ur spells do op dmg, then use dexterity so spells can have a higher chance to hit.

ur too used to playing warrior thats why u use tons of focus so ur toon focuses on tanking bosses

Your base points should go into focus, however once you get to a high level and have upwards of 2000 focus, you may want to consider using only fire magic adding gear, because it will add more damage than the focus would at this point.
