Does frostbite seem like a good skill to use as an ice mage, i just noticed that the critical skill works with the Dot dmg from Rupture, does it seem good to invest points in it now or should i focus on something else.

Yes' but make it ur 3rd or 4th dps skill. Max lure and e shield first

If you go full ice mage you should use it... first ofcourse: ice lure, ice blast, ice shards ,after you can choice energy shield/frostbite or maybe also pierce lure so you level damn fast in group with rogues/rangers/warriors. Also at raid bosses its handy to have pierce on you.

Basic Mage structure typically in order of skill maxing is
bolt/shards
storm/blast
fire/ice attune
shield
fire/ice lure
For leveling build: a support lure
Iceshard/firebolt
For bossing build: Incin/bite/support lure

I forgot the most important skill: ice att! you definitely need that skill lol

Only use it if you are going for a bossing build/full dps(and only as an ice mage, not optimal for hybrids). Its a mediocre damage skill as it stands.

Lure is far superior to attune. Try running with only one of the two and see what goes better. That is if lures arent covered by someone else.

I wouldn't recommend but... if you got extra skill points then why the heck not
