Not really a lesson, already knew. But the chromosomes in male and females do NOT dictate whether their child is gay. Most gays and lesbians turn that way through childhood when they discover groups that accept them..

This is such a ridiculous statement that I almost am too flabbergasted to respond. how much time have you spent actually conversing -- open-mindedly and inquisitively with homosexual people? Does your in-depth knowledge of homosexuals come from actually talking to them or just some media or church-driven propaganda?

Every homosexual person I have ever talked to about these issues has expressed experiencing profound soul searching, fear, guilt, shame, stereotyping, and rejection at some point in their lives. it is exceptionally difficult for most homosexuals to find true acceptance anywhere.

i don't know about other cultures, but In North America, we are absolutely bombarded with messages that two (or more) women engaged in sexual activity is highly erotic and iconic male fantasy material. Women kissing make it onto mainstream daytime television. If homosexuality was caused by mere exposure, if it was contagious, there wouldn't be a straight woman to be found anywhere.

@Grey - Thank you very much for your support. To be honest, I don't know how great I am at being a dad, but I will say that I do my best. I guarantee that every moment spent with him is either in play, education, or cuddling. lol. And every moment, even if scolding, is because of my love for him.

Well, yes... there is a certain unfortunate group of people who really can't open up to their parents. I find that infinitely sad. Sad for the kids, and sad for the parents. I pity both parties... but for very different reasons.

@Keri - Thank you. I seem to have gained a big Avalon following. You are fundamentally right with your examples, but I don't think you pull enough out of it. You are right that there is a double standard about homosexuality, and you touch on the keystone; it's entirely true (ironically?) that even men who are completely homophobic will be turned on by two women.

Edit: Regarding Uzi, please bear in mind that he is young. I will be perfectly honest in saying that he is one of two people who I overaged in my guestimation... and that doesn't happen often for me. That is to say that I thought he was older than he actually is (the other was Pigman, oddly enough). I think that says a fair amount. He certainly has a head on his shoulders.

Though I have always disagreed with him on rl issues (guns, government, homosexuality) he is, none-the-less, a very articulate young man. I think he has a lot to learn, yes, but I also see a great deal of potential in him.

Not regular groups, no of course not lol, but the groups of homosexual men and women who welcome them. Guys, I have something important to say. I was thinking about this topic, and I realized, how does homosexual sin vary from premarital sex sin? I will say that I am not ok with sin, if I had the decision alone on me, I'd say no gays, but It doesn't differ that much from premarital sex. They're both sin. What I'm saying is, I won't care if you're gay, I might judge based on the situation and mood of myself ( ) but over all I'm not ok with it, I just don't want to hear it or have it be all up in my face like "hey I'm gay". Even though that rarely occurs... I still don't care if you're gay, I'm just not ok with it.

you could ignore them and go on with your with your life or be friends with them they are good people with different preferences
