I'm hoping that more of this will be explained in the new Stonevale quest chain coming Yule 2015. It promises to give more details on the imp invasion, so maybe it will explain the burning man and the other effigies around Stonevale now?

Also: Muldar, how do you take such beautiful pictures? it's like you don't even have to try for them to look great. I'm jealous
