Alot of us on Forums have gotten maybe a bit TOO involved with our favourite passtime..

I see alot of the same faces here on forums- Els, Aileron, Lordy, Curry, Crim, Frid...A handful of others who are "regulars" here on the forums.

I've found that alot of us have gotten kind of a bitter, "my-opinion-is-law" mindset on here..Yes, this includes me.

I, personally, will play the game and maybe complain about something (Like the new Chatbox for ex.) with my friends, get a reply, and drop it. But here on Forums we can dwell on issues for alot longer. Kind of stinks sometimes because our attitudes can suck


So as a question to my fellow Forum Users-

Has your attitude changed at all since you began using forums?

Yes with no doubt. Ive learned through disappointments of this game that being always kind and always sarcastic doesnt make the game better. Not just on forums but in game too, not all clannies understand everything through kindness.

Kindness is important, but we need to be direct and blunt about what we care for, about our opinions. We cant hint them or imply them in our comments, we cant sugarcoat them, we cant try to deliver our message through ass-kissing.

I probably seem angry (well I am annoyed, but not in the 'angry! grrrr' kind of annoyed), but thats because u dont always deliver emotions through chat. U see, most ppl would probably think that if it was face to face arguments, I would probably shout on them and be vulgar, and thats not true.

I will give OTM that, that if it werent for them being more open to the players, we wouldnt be freely arguing and going head-to-head with the OTM members themselves.

Dont see me as an angry person who hates u all..... Unless ur friddo, I dont like u friddo... I wont lie, but I dont expect u to like me back. But ofc Im joking Im not angry or hateful, and dont talk Hebrew to me, I hate speaking Hebrew on a game that is in English, my clan mate does that and I never answer.

I think sometimes people forget the human behind the computer screen.
On the internet people see you as a name not as say "John" who has a job and a family, who is going to meet up with a friend after work drink a beer and walk his dog at the weekend, who worries about bills and their future.

In life you need to think about how you act as a person and how that attitude looks to others (Something my Grandpa said).

I'm not saying everyone has to be all "Oh wow OTM you are all so wonderful" in posts that would be disingenuous but when you open a thread and what could have been a really good discussion and it starts with "WOW OTM BUNCH OF ******* *******" it helps no one, creates a negative mindset for the post and we lose out on what could have been really valuable to the game.

We want feedback, we love feedback it is great and helps the game evolve but insults serve no purpose.

Sure we may not communicate everything sometimes but we are a company, we do like to keep surprises. Hell it is why I am here.

I'm not fussed either way, I have thick skin, my job is to make sure you guys are heard and that I am communicating to you. Then at the weekend I live my life much like how all you do, I have friends a girlfriend, hobbies, commitments, worries, fears, enjoyments. Same as everyone else in the office.

In all seriousness, I believe you are correct. I've played a lot of MMOs before, and this one is one of the ones where the admins have a large amount of contact with the player base. I've tried other mobile MMOs, and they just don't have the community that we have built here. I think that is why I'm so satisfied with CH. It might have it's flaws, and it might not be the best game out there, but the game goes far outside the bounds of the MMO and I think that's what keeps me coming back.

I've been posting here since 2011 and I don't think my attitude has changed that much. All I ever wanted was to have a game that rewards players properly for the time and effort invested in the game. You will always see me post feedback wheenver that is not the case, and with CH, there are plenty of game aspects which that is not the case.

No such thing as "my opinion as law". I think you are just trying to paint yourself as a saint. It's more of "Hey OTM, please hear us out". The company's track record about a multitude of issues reported and the time frame they act on it, is not very good, that's why these same things come up over and over throughout the years.
