I find it quite ironic that in all the world about 90% is capitalist, of that 90% most of Europe, Oceania, SEA are all social democracies. But overall capitalism is the overarching theme of the world.
However, in most games I've played most people use a more Marxist ideology to distribute loot. Recognising the faults of capitalism as unfair while theoretically 'anyone can make it' the way to make it is paved by a combination of hard work and predominantly luck. But most worlds use the DKP system which is a meritocracy; essentially a radical outlet of socialist governance. The only real capitalist world would be Epona where you can buy your way to the top.
Then there are clans like Elementals with an oligarchal/communist approach to loot distribution with no 'economy' whether its DKP or gold. Like a form of Kibbutz. Purely based on what the ones in charge decide, this system can both be corrupt or fair, subjective to the people in charge.
It is quite comical at least to me that while 90% of the world is capitalist 90%+ of the game is Marxist leaning.

#2My thinking is that Marxism is theoretically the ideal system to have, but greed and the rich dictates most things in the world, so as gamers, in charge of whole servers, which are tiny worlds on their own, we build our own utopia.

#3Im wondering if to be flattered to be mentioned here or not, but correct it from Belenus to Elementals.
Id want to comment on it, but then again I feel like people would attack our system, and any topic made by friddo is bound to go wrong.

#8I mean ideologically I agree but many would not.My thinking is that Marxism is theoretically the ideal system to have, but greed and the rich dictates most things in the world, so as gamers, in charge of whole servers, which are tiny worlds on their own, we build our own utopia.
Re: Politics in Celtic
#9In real life, communism faults as factors such as money and food effect how we do things
In a game environment a Marxist ideology works as there’s nothing to go wrong. Everyone gets their stuff. There arnt the factors humans need to live in our Celtic heroes environment. Taking away the things where communism faulted does make it like a small utopia. A perfect world would technically Marxist without the horrors that occurred last time people tried it
Also money is gained as a separate thing. Clans don’t determine who gets gold so that is one separation from the communist agenda
That’s why 90% of the world is capitalist, it works in the real world above communism
But in a game environment everyone getting equal access and the rich not being put above the poor works.
