Yeah and its totally safe to be a Christian in Egypt.
Show me where at in the New Testament of the Biblewhere Jesus taught hate and death to non-bebelievers. I don't see how you can say a Christian nation is a bad and torture-filled nation. I don't think that you found out if each victim was killed by a Christian or not. Being a self proclaimed christian and then kill someone is not excactly being a Christian.

#13I know, its hard to go through life thinking you can live with no morals. Deep down inside your curious about it. What if you get to spend eternal life in paradise? Some people just spend their lives secretly asking themselves this question.

Re: Delusions atheists/religious
#14Actually you'll usually find atheist nations to be highly moral countries with low crime.
For example Sweden is around 80% atheist/agnostic and they are ranked as 2nd most peaceful country on the planet.
Denmark is highly atheist and are up their as around 6th most peaceful.
0.2% of people in American prisons are atheists. A person who ISN'T a atheist is more likely to to kill you or rob you.
Btw I'm not saying following a religion is the cause of it. Atheists can just reason better and have better logic. When it comes to average religious person vs average atheist is all I'm saying.

Amazing read. It makes me wonder what predominantly non-theistic nations could achieve with the resources that predominantly theistic nations possess. 0.0
@Rocoh
In regards to atheists that apparently have weak minds... I agree that people need to be more open-minded but to have the opinion that any belief, or lack thereof, makes you weak-minded is contrary to the idea of being unprejudiced and willing to consider new ideas. That is just my opinion though.

Re: Delusions atheists/religious
#19derp... You've either misunderstood my post and the study I quoted, or you have intentionally changed the meaning. What you are talking about is causality. No one said anything about causality: my entire post talked about correlation. They are two entirely different things.
The fact* that most of the nations with the highest homicide rates are also predominantly Christian doesn't at all imply that being a Christian equates to murder. What it does prove, however, is that the notion that Christian nations have lower crime is a fallacy.
Note: I hate using the term "crime," because overall it can't be compared. This is why I used homicide rate as an example, because it can be compared.
I fail to see what this has to do with anything. Not only is it out of the scope of the conversation at hand, it is based on such recent events as to make it meaningless when looking at trends. It's like looking a the S&P 500 in 2008, and concluding that stocks always go down.
However, for fun, please note that the homicide rate in Egypt is 1.2, which is very similar to most first world nations (the enigma of the U.S. excluded).
As for being a "true Christian" ... It sounds as if you want to strike these instances from the data set. "Oh, he killed? Well then he isn't a real Christian and shouldn't be included." Hell, you may as well whittle down the data to include the Vatican only. 100% Christian, 0 murder: proof that Christianity creates ideal societies.
Again, we can argue all you want... but I don't think you are aware of what we are arguing about.
*Since I used the word "fact" above, I will include the following.
Highest homicide rates and their Christian populations:
1. Honduras (82.1, 87.6%)
2. El Salvadore (66.0, 88.2%)
3. Ivory Coast (56.9, 44.8%)
4. Jamaica (52.1, 77.1%)
5. Venezuela (49.0, 89.3%)
6. Belize (41.7, 87.2%)
7. Guatemala (41.4, 95.2%)
8. U.S. Virgin Islands (39.2, 94.8%)
9. Saint Kitts and Nevis (38.2, 94.6%)
10. Zambia (38.0, 97.5%)
(In case someone doesn't know what a rate is, it is the number of instances per 100,000 people. To give a couple comparative numbers, the U.S. has a rate of 5.0, Australia has a rate of 1.2, and Japan has a rate of 0.5, per data quoted.)
Ivory Coast is the only country in the top ten that isn't a predominantly Christian population. That being said, Christianity seems to be the largest single religion (45% Christian, 25% Muslim, 30% various local religions).
Again, nothing about causality... merely the correlation of high murder rates and Christianity.
But like I said in my original post, I don't think that it is fair to use 3rd world countries in the comparison because there are other underlying problems. That is why I quoted that study, as it compared 1st world countries... and again, what it showed was that the idea that high Christianity results in safer societies is incorrect.
[Edit: Due to being challenged on the presented data, I simplified sources so as they are easier to verify. The unfortunate side effect is that it places some other numbers slightly out of date. For instance, the homicide rate in the U.S. is currently 4.8.... but one would need to do extra and current research to find that. A second post below will give readers the sources used.]

I doubt there is such a teaching.... who said there was?Show me where at in the New Testament of the Biblewhere Jesus taught hate and death to non-bebelievers.
I don't mind if you misunderstood the post, but please refrain from putting words in people's mouths... I never said that; I never implied that; I am floored that you would make such an extrapolation.I don't see how you can say a Christian nation is a bad and torture-filled nation.
lol... Again, you have made some link in your mind, and are changing what was I wrote. Where did I say that Christians are always the murderers? That being said, if a nation has 95% Christianity, there is a pretty high chance that a Christian was at fault. Still, it doesn't matter who committed the murders... all that matters is that the murders happened. Again, remember that I am disproving the idea that Christian nations have less crime... nothing else.I don't think that you found out if each victim was killed by a Christian or not. Being a self proclaimed christian and then kill someone is not excactly being a Christian.
