The issue people seem to be missing , the op doesn't say outlaw guns , rip em from everyone's hands ! He says stricter gun laws , what I can't figure out is why any normal American would be against this , why would you fight to make it easier for criminals and bad people to have guns , why should an irresponsible person be allowed to have guns ?

If all gun owners treated their weapons with the respect they deserve there would be much less gun crime/violence in our country .

Don't get your panties in a bunch because people want it safer , we have had a ridiculous amount of school shootings , had the owners of those weapons used in the shootings been more responsible with them it may have saved some lives .

but the problem is, stricter gun laws wont help. more backround checks or whatever will not slow down the criminals who are buying stolen guns off the streets.

Do you know that the states that have stricter gun laws have a more crime rate? You know how people go in places and start shooting people down with their illegal guns? Do you know someone went in a theater and began to shoot and chased people to another building but he got shot only because someone else, a cop, had a gun? It works both ways. People will not want to rob places because they know a lot of people are armed. It WILL happen no matter what you do, they will find guns and they WILL use them and then one day when you're in a theater and someone comes in with a gun, what do you think you would want? A gun, thats what. Because everyone just can't escape. Isrial has cops, army force all over their country and they all have guns and crime rate is very low. Use guns to stop bad people with guns. exactly. if people in the colorado theatre shooting had had guns, the shooter would have been taken down quickly. OR, if enough americans have guns, the "bad guys" will think twice about attacking people, knowing that theres a damn good chance they'll shoot back.

no. an unarmed population is a vulnerable population. No matter how hard you try, SOMEONE will have a gun. always. and if you take away 99.9 percent of the guns, you just made that person the boss. They now can get away with whatever they want. what we need is a level playing feild. There are two ways to do that. make it so NOBODY has a gun(which is impossible), or let everyone have a gun. The criminals will always have guns, no matter what. That is indisputable. The only thing you can change is how many good people have guns. The more, the better.

not very much, not to slam you on your own culture or anything but, socialism is the grey area between legal theft and forced charity. why should i have to pay for somebody else' phone bill or bills? ESPECIALLY when I can't even afford to pay my own bills! back when Christopher Columbus "discovered" America, they met a group of Native Americans. They tried socialism, but the lazy man was making as much as the hard working man, which is totally unfair. It discouraged people to work hard, resulting in lesser amounts of grains and crops. BUT THEN they tried free enterprise, and the result was that 30 men in a socialistic democracy were making as much as 3 men in a free enterprise! BUT today, I dunno what they do in Canada, and know nothing about you guys, but in America, the Democrats here get checks to vote democrat, and who wouldn't wanna get more money? Free money yay yay yay yeah free stuff life is good whoo! But guess what? That "free" money is coming from your neighboring taxpayers. And small businesses are forced to lay people off to pay other peoples' bills when they indeed built (Obama said that "You didn't build that!") their small business so they could live the American dream only to have it crushed by lazy people. History has proven Socialism doesn't work, except for the lazy people! I am in no way calling you lazy pigman, I know you work two jobs and study hard, and I admire that. But what I don't admire, dear Pigman, is the fact that you STILL after history, believe that socialistic work environments work. Communism has confused me, (correct me if I'm wrong because I don't know a lot about it) but here's my view of it: The government wants to control as many people as possible, and they're doing it right now. How?, you might ask. They pin in little plans that seem "OK", but all those little plans make one master plan that makes the average American go "oh crap, I need to kiss my but goodbye and say hello to anarchy." But nobody realizes it because they all still believe bad history. To the Education system: The public education system is just a big mess that accumulates tax payers' wasted money on indoctrinating their children to have their brain turn to applesauce. People don't like that so they pour more money into it thinking they'll fix it, but in fact they just feed it more cash to grow larger to let their kids become zombies at politics. To Conclude, the indoctrination process is only going to be able to be stopped by conservative thinking people like Ronald Reagan, arguably the best president EVER in the history of mankind. Here's why: Back when he was in office there were American soldiers being held hostage somewhere in Asia Minor, and you know how he got 'em back? It's called threats. Because violence is always the answer jk. He said "you're going to want to release the hostages." And guess what happened? Nobody died! Because when the B-25s come howling at your cave, you ain't comin home no more. Especially when you get nuked all the way from the guy with coffee in his left and and a red button in his right, or the fairly recently added "MOAB" bomb, which can hold a blast radius up to 1 mile, which is a bit too far for you to run on the hump of your camel. You should read the communist manifesto Uzi, what communism is about is making all people equal including the government. All people are seen as equals in society and are paid the same and nobody has an advantage Over one abother as the government owns all property. However, it is an easily corruptible system and the government abuses its power most often in history to control the people rather than equalize them.

Socialism is a form of democracy in which the government expects that people pay not only to support themselves, but society as a whole.

If communism wasn't so easily corrupted it would be a great system, socialism is my preferred form of democratic government because it helps the entire country flourish rather than those with more money.

What you described is fascism which is the exact opposite of communism, governmental control of the people
