So if the government is fining people who do smaller criminal offences, wouldn't that mean it's okay to steal things from bad people..?

Both lead to financial losses to a person, so I really don't see that as plausible...

Would you yourself start killing people just because capital punishment exists? If the answer is no, then you can't use that as your argument and assume everyone else is slightly crazier than yourself.
Good point, but I'm talking 10's of years of media reporting every death sentence the government has granted towards (every murderer - I know that's not the case but if it were to be every murderer) headlines like these "murderer found guilty, death on Thursday". Being a child and growing up with those types of things, I'm sure would have psychological impacts if the general public were prone to witnessing things like these since birth on a regular basis.

This then goes back to the whole argument of violent games such as Grand Theft Auto showing murder as something normal and frequently occurring (with no real consequences), yet I don't think that has spurred generations of murderers to reveal themselves.

Yes, however these games have only started coming in around 13-14 years ago. And if it hasn't been noted already there has been a rise in criminal activity in juveniles don't get me wrong it may not be as far fetched as murder (opposed from school shootings) but things like theft, abuse - physical, verbal are on the rise within the juvenile populous. It may not be foretold, but I think games and such may contribute to such things.

I'm still talking long term exposure of government capital punishment. Probably closer to 40 - 50 some years of exposure. I think it's the little things like these that are truly harming the psychological aspects that people may perceive a wrong doing as something right. But who am I to judge, I have not lived in a society as such, and not have you so it would be hard to imagine.

We should also get rid of all war video games all crime video games and leave the flower planting ones,
Also the media should be disbanded the Internet should be not accessible, etc

The fact is this won't change much the media already advertises every killing there ever is our society is screwed up a lot showing this won't make much of a impact people might finaly be satisfied with the law and not take matters into there own hands

We never mentioned every murderer, nor it should be shown to the public (its an execution, not a show), we said only those who killed, dont have even a 'good' reason (cus nothing justifies it) and have high potential of killing more ppl, such as serial killers (same goes prob for serial rapists).

EDIT: Another example of who could and should be executed (or already have been), are big dictators, the nazis, Isis organization, and generally terrorists.

i believe its highly unfair to describe terrorists as its all a matter of perspective, for the israelis HAMAS the hizbollah and other such movements are terrorists yet for the palestinian population the IDF is probably the terrorist its only that we have the power and they dont so we can execute them and they couldnt even try.

so how do we define terrorist maybe an agent in the other country? well if a al qaeda agent is found in amerca with explosives and the americans capture and kill him then vice versa could happen and be acceptable? its a very complex situation the perspective that counts is always where the power lies

Obviously if something like that is added, they'll give a definition to each thing, although they are starting to acknowledge Hamas as a non-terrorist organization......

I really want to see where the stats are, for a matching correlation between violent games and increased criminal activity. It's been a hot-debated topic which has yet to be proven as far as I'm aware.

It's way too hard to predict whether or not the general public will see murder as a more casual thing with or without executions.
