Another point to make about the constitution can wright itself. How many Americans know that in the original constitution had the governor of the state chose the Senator for that State instead of a Senator being elected by the people. This was done with the intentions of the syaye having a bigger role in federal legislation. Today the states have little power or say in the federal government.

Ouch that hurts my head

Laws against carrying guns around wont exactly lower crime rate. Criminals don't pay attention to laws. They will carry guns anyways. Banning guns will just make law abiding citizens more vulnerable to murderers.

obviously you didn't read the thread... this thread is not about banning guns. its about regulations ensuring people buying guns do so with knowledge and know how to handle the gun. the entire thread is about why people should or shouldn't have background checks and proper training required before being allowed to purchase a lethal weapon.

Yeah, but we both know that the liberals in America want to do an out right ban. Just look at the proposed bill that California just passed. You give up an inch and they take one mile slowly not overnight. It is about control of the population and it does nothing about actually keeping criminals in line. Why do you think that kids are being suspended in our schools for having a paper gun. It has to do with indoctrination and starting the next generation to tremble in fear at the sight of an inanimate object (gun). That generation will be the one to make them illegal to possess not this one. So why should I not fight to keep that from happening for the sake of my children to have the right to defend themself.

ban guns if you wish.. take guns out of the hands of the innocent defending themselves... but there will still be guns on the black market and handled illegally... when this happens. yes when. who will have it.. the upstanding citizen or the murderers?

They may be able to stop selling guns to the innocent people. But they're gonna have a hell of a time taking them out of our hands.
