At the moment it is all complete chaos.

Scenario 1:
NK bombs US for no apparent reason. USA now has a very good reason to destroy NK, but they probably will not do it. As Pigman posted, it would start many wars. Also bombing NK would not have the desired effect since the government is corrupt; not the regular civilians. After that, China will severe ties with NK and there screwed.

Scenario 2:
NK actually does not bomb US. All is good.

Scenario 3:
NK bombs USA, USA defends bomb because of there new defense system (I heard its amazing?), and NK is now screwed. Still USA would not attack NK because no damage was done. USA would however retaliate because the media would overwhelm them. Retaliations can be very different
EG:
-Bomb NK
-Target Killings (OBV not public)
-Completely boycott NK
-Force China to boycott NK and therefore result in NK being screwed.
