Funny thing. Satan is just a name. He didnt do unfathomable hes just the person who created original sin by trying to become gods equal. But as well. Sin was created by humanity and free will. So if perhaps someone was to go to hell. Its not bcuz god doesnt love you or hates you. God loves all. If you go to hell its on you not bcuz god had it out for us. If your soul ascends into heaven its bcuz of jesus when he was crucified he sacrificed himself for all. Once he did god the son and the holy spirit were created therefore completing the trinity and saving us all. As for the babylonian txt. Babylonians was mythology based on myths. As for adam and eve that was a myth gathered by babylonian nobleman. And being a catholic our beliefs tell us that adam and eve was a true story. Therefore our faith prevails all catholics to believe that god the father made the universe. Before jesus became man, in the old testament, god the father told moses that his name was I Am Who Am. After jesus was born thus began the new testament. And plz fix that fkn name of the topic I feel like its bashing my religion.Satan has tempted many, so it is partially his fault. Free will created sin, because we are allowed to do anything we choose, which has bad consequences (Adam and Eve, Genesis 1). Can anyone mention where Jesus or God contradict themselves in the Bible? They do not, because they are the only ones who are perfect.
Also, tell me what other religion is solely based on Love.
Re: No proof what-so-ever that God/Jesus exists.
#52Ah, this is why Catholicism is usually not considered True Christianity by Protestants. All men are created equal - no pope is higher. Christianity is based around the ultimate form of Love - death so another can live, as Jesus died on the cross for our sins. This is Eternal Love, not just on this Earth. These other religions also worship idols - a thing Christians do not do.Sorry to come again, but if you want me to name other religions that are solely based on love, well, how about Buddhism, Baha'i, or Zoroastrism?
Jesus preached love, so they say. But what did the historical popes do with that thought in all the centuries? Ah they gained power, killed all who stood against them, hoarded so much wealth that, if released, noone of their followers will ever face hunger again. All in the name of love, of course.
But other religions did that too. As i said, mankind is left alone. Noone "godly" to interfere here...

#53Pig I have much respect for you so dont take this personally. But you have no idea what your talking about. In the old testament it says inhabitants were in africa and ireland as most knew at the time. The farden of eden was in africa aka adam and eve. As for evolution it cant be precisely proven unless your god ofc. And most dont take the bible word for word translations help that factor I mean look at something like spanish to english: me gusta los zapatos anaranjado: I like the shoes orange. Instead we would say I like those orange shoesLet me ask one more question for the sake of being the scientific pin the the religion bubble
Can you admit, that
A) evolution is how people reached their current form (proved)
B) all people can trace their genetic history to one tribe in Africa (proved)
C) the bible is to be interpreted, not taken word for word.(proven, as many of the events depicted simply could not have happened)

Re: No proof what-so-ever that God/Jesus exists.
#54This is something they cannot answer with a logical answer. But they attempt to say how god is real?Let me pose this as a counter question, just put of curiosity.
If everything had to have been created, where did "God" come from?
"He always was" or "he just is" are not answers, if you truly believe that creation is the answer, then answer how creation was created
If god created stuff, creations exist? If you put a label that god created everything, then you basically saying everything must be created which including god, so now you say god was created? So we worship someone who was normally created like us? Doesnt make sence. Dont say that god was created and that creator was created and so on to the point of Infinity.
I don't believe in "infinite". There must be an end to everything, if there wasnt the why wouldn't god create infinite land, lives, food, etc. We have a limited ammount of everything, it may be alot but it'll end. So god couldn't be a creator bc he would have to be created. Which we wouldve worshiped the one who created the creator? But wait, some might say "We wouldn't know who that is, it's been trillions of years" (or should I say infinite) but wouldn't we know who that was if there was such something as "infinite"?
Where did god come from? The term
Well I believe it's just an answer, of a question which cannot be answered.
Rather than have life study this there life? People would starve, get diseases, in some way.
They would study new things (Lots and Lots of things in hope of finding the answer) Then discover new diseases, possibly ones that could whipe man kind out? So rather than that make a one word answer and let the rest be decided on those whom believe.

#55I agree with all except A. Evolution has not been proven. Yes, B is correct. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, who resided in Africa in the Garden of Eden. Yes, C is correct. And one proof more for me that u cannot discuss with true believers.
Just tell me one thing: if u dont sin tomorrow, did Jesus then die in vain? Same logic as in "death is love".
Re: No proof what-so-ever that God/Jesus exists.
#57Tell me, what do you believe Bandit? Why are we here? Why was life even created? We don't know if God was created. I mean, in a worldly sense we, as humans, have to believe something, right? Because if we don't make assumptions, we can't prove anything. There are some things we cannot prove. What if we just accepted that? God could not have been created the same way if he was because he is an omnipotent being, right? This is something they cannot answer with a logical answer. But they attempt to say how god is real?Let me pose this as a counter question, just put of curiosity.

Evolution has been proven. It can be traced genetically.
Humans are still evolving, current generations have wisdom teeth less frequently then previous generations. Our tailbone is still receeding, the shape of our skull to allow growth of the most used lobes of the brain changes. Evolution is factual. I could maybe comprehend a vague creation that started the motion of everything, but not a creator that created with intent and purpose, nor created species as they would be forever.

#59Actually the garden of eden or Dilmun was east of Mesopotamia:We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, who resided in Africa in the Garden of Eden.

#60"The price of sin is death". Think of it like the this - for us to live someone has to work and make sacrifices, right? It's the same logic. Jesus died for our sins, and we are even born with sin. We know some things about right from wrong even when we are young, yet we choose to do wrong, so we always sin, because we are not perfect.Sorry thats too simple - death is the ultimate form of love.Ah, this is why Catholicism is usually not considered True Christianity by Protestants.
