Re: A discussion about religion

I'm simply a atheist because i acknowledge the fact that I don't know and that nobody actually knows.

You all gotta problem with that? You actually believes i will be tortured for 500 trillion years + eternity?

Who but a sick physcopath wants Christianity or the countless other religons to be true.

Look up the definition of faith.
In my understanding, if you don't know then you are agnostic.
This is a common misconception. No one can really know for sure, due there being zero evidence, that Santa clause dosent exist, there is no tooth fairy, or that a pink teacup with a dead mouse in it isn't orbiting a nearby sun. But those things are so unbelievably absurd that to assign a probability to them is disingenuous. Therefore anyone with this level of doubt is termed an atheist.

Of course demised may have a different reason but that is the gist of this typically.

I am a Christian /chatolic
I dont agree with gay marriage
I dOnt mind if you disagree is MY opinion
And that is why you are under the influence of a mental condition called "rètardia" you see, rètardia causes homophobia at its base level by affecting the neural pathways, rètardia has also been traced to the homophobic god of Christianity, yes this is a piss-take to tell you how stupid you are.

So you can go into a church and commit mass murder but if you love god he will save you? Catholics believe you must be forgiven for example. Christians believe it is up to god to judge - getting a day in court requires this 'love' but does not guarantee a not guilty verdict.
Well, that depends, I would encourage you ask to one of the Christians posting on this thread, but here is my understanding: if you go to a church and commit a mass murder your heart is not right and you cannot go to heaven the way your heart is now. But if you have a change of heart, repent, and are genuinely sorry for what you did and try to change your life, God will forgive you. As long as you are alive you have another chance. Christianity emphasizes the heart's condition (heart being figurative), it is all about why you do things, no matter how much you mess up, God will give you another chance and will always forgive you.
Feel obligated to point this out, a mass murderer gets into heaven, but one of the people he killed gets eternal damnation simply for being raised in a household of intellect, k then

Also, why should your love come before somebody elses? Ohh wait I forgot. You have rètardia, sorry.

Ok, I have an answer for u on the "Christians hate gays" thing. The law of the Old Testament was meant for the Jewish nation. U see, that law was for their government not for the Christian religion(if im not making this clear just tell me and i will try again). Most of the morals are to still be followed, but we believe that it is up to government to put out the punishments. Also, God never tells us to hate them. One other thing. Im going to ask u a question. Do u believe that every effect had a cause?
Psalm 46:10 He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Every effect does have a cause, Newton taught us that, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, that s why I can move the earth by jumping.

The Old Testament comprises texts (cannon) that are sacred in general to Christians.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Testament
It's not only Jewish people who find these as sacred material.

In America where I live it is the political religious right who use Christian scripture to treat homosexuals as second class citizens. Most of the lobby against gay people, if not nearly 100%, is religious based. In fact the most famous hate groups against gays are inspired by Christianity.

Can't really blame them too much if they believe because it does say to kill them in the old testament.

Yes, it does say that they shall be put to death. God will let them eventually be engulfed by their sun if they wish to live that life. That does not mean that we have the authority to kill them. That is the problem with these new translations and misconceptions. Once again, God will let homosexual people be eventually engulfed in their sin if they decide not to give up their ways. The blood is on their head. They cannot be true Christians if they are commuting this act they know is wrong and without relent. God knows their hearts, though. If they are not truly 'gay' or feel out of place he will know. He is trying to protect humanity, as a homosexual couple can not conceive a child. He has given us the gift of the opposite gender, and we should respect that anyhow.
