Quick question, why is there a need to pray? If a godly being is all knowing, he/she/it would know what you need and/or what you want. It seems like most religions incorporate an idea of praying that revolves around asking, but you would be actually begging whilst said god ponders, again contradictory to a being that is all knowing.

I do not remember the explanation I was given and as I ponder the idea of praying it seems rather mean to in effect say: I know what you need but I want to hear you beg me for it.

I would tell u that according to my religion, in fact, i could easily give u an answer to every single thing u have asked here, but why? Ur saying that what ur doing is proving ur right, but i can see some ppl here are only here to brag, insult, or curse, i dont think u did anything like that Vraelan, but many did, and theres no need to name.

So u can insult me how much u want, but how does that help u? I dont think it does. So before coming here and fight with each other and insult each other, just think, those 86 pages cant be called a 'discussion', its only a meaningless arguement.

If u want to ask something about a religion, dont ask it from hate, dont ask it just cus u wanna prove something that u cant prove, dont ask it to insult or laugh at it, because at least in judaism, theres one thing in the bible, the most important thing, that hasnt been mentioned even once, on the other hand many lies have been told.

I continue because people rarely hear "the other side." Just as I make an argument for my logic, others can do the same. I am not exactly concerned with the belief itself but rather what impact it has for humanity. Believe what you want but when your belief starts getting in the way of progress then there is a problem. The root of that problem is that people seem to have forgotten that we must still doubt everything and interpret data as we see it, not how we want to see it.

All questions I ask are out of doubt, not hate. If I imply that something is foolish, it is directed toward the idea, not the person. Everything has meaning and at the same time everything does not. Technically there is no causality but rather a series of events starting from the first cause.

In any event, I could even argue that a game forum is the right place to have this discussion. Again, people rarely hear the other side. Consciously or subconsciously, we tend to gather the data we want, not the data we need. A game forum is a unique medium to both sides, as we can see here, to be introduced to new ideas. Whilst one would select for one type of website over another, both atheists and the religious can play a game. Both want to play the game, therefore, both will come here. Lo and behold, a proper meeting of one idea vs another in a case like this.
