And yes I know that course just proves tha I can get the unfathomable kiced out of me and stiil just give up useless info, but a sapper background is what I was reffering to. Det cord is illegal but I know how to get it as a civilian. You cant legislate crazy, or the willingness for a criminal to commit crimes. You can only protect yourself.

Yes and not one of the kids in Sandy Hook was killed with an "assault rifle" they were killed with hand guns. The shooter in Colorado was not killing with an "assault rifle" it was a semi automatic. One pull of the trigger per bullet. An assault rifle is illegal to obtain in the US unless you have a class III license, and that license requires that you can have an inspection done to you at any time. A clas 3 license is next to impossible to obtain even for collectors. Just because a riffle is a replica of a military rifle does not make it an assault rifle. My Weatherby .270 could do more damage at a greater distance than any .223 and that is considered a hunting rifle.
On a nother note, I am ex military and have had sears course I really don't need a "gun" to achieve mass casualty.

Unless you buy them at a gun show .

You are not the issue derp , clearly you are a responsible gun owner, it's the untrained and irresponsible people that have weapons .

We make it too easy or bad people to arm themselves for the wrong reasons in this country .

Where did you hear that you could buy a gun at a gun show without doing a background check. A private person to a private person sale is just like someone buying a dog. person to person sales are gonna happen reguardless. Black arms dealers and such. I live in realville and with 350 mil pluss weapons in circulation I will always no mater if legal or not. So why should I be dissarmed when a criminal will still get one.

If properly maintained and protected from the elements they will last forever. Corrosion is a weapons worst enemy, but with proper care and lubrication they can be preserved forever. Now the ammunition is another story. It is based solely on the primer that is used. The gunpowder will never expire, well atleast for my lifetime. But the quality of the primer will determine its lifespan 10-100 years. This isvfor a projectile bullet a flintlock style weapn is different There has been civil war weapons found that have gone off over 100 years old.

Is it safe to assume most of the criminals with firearms are not taking meticulous care of their weapons ?

So may be if new laws are introduced now it will make our country safer in the future , when most of the guns " on the street" are no longer viable ?

May be it's ammo that needs to be restricted better and not guns , cause guns don't kill people bullets do :p
