If someone says, "I'm running out of necessary people, the more I learn the less I need"

What does this mean in your own words?

That sounds pretty.. depressing.

Kind of gives the impression that said person is losing people that they can believe in, people that have their trust or people that are there for them. Perhaps they've been living in mostly ignorance the whole time, and now that they've opened their eyes, they've realised how little they mean to the people they had held close. I suppose the deeper they look in the issue, the amount of people they held trust in is drastically reduced.

the more he learns about them, which means gets closer to them, gets to know them, to more he gets betrayed, therefore he would prefer to trust less and less ppl, thats what i was thinking about that part, if someone decides to trust less ppl, its prob cus the ppl close to him betrayed him.
